Do's and Don't's When People Travels to Mexico

Mexico is an extraordinary country, famous for its beautiful beaches and historical cities. It's rich in history, traditions, art and religion. You can find the most interesting places to visit and the most delicious mexican dishes.

But visitors must emind that every country is different and has its own rules, so here are a few tips if you're planning to travel to this fascinating place:


Mexico travel Do's:

  • Do research your destination. It's good to have an idea of what do you plan to do and which places do you want to visit.
  • Do lock your passport, cash and credit cards in a hotel safe. Take precausions if you don't want to be targetted by thieves.
  • Do bring along necessities. Make a list with all the things you think you'll need.
  • Do shake hands upon meeting someone. 
  • Do understand safety precautions and travel advisories. There are places in Mexico that are safer than others so do some research and avoid going to dangerous places.
  • Do put sunscreen before you go. The sun in Mexico is strong and shines for several hours almost everyday.
  • Do keep an open mind. You'll find different points of view about everthing wherever you go so if you don't undestand the traditions or ideas of a country, be respectful.
  • Do take off sunglasses and hats when entering a church. It is a sign of respect.
  • Do learn a few Spanish phrases before you go. Not everyone in Mexico speaks English and, besides, learning a second language is very useful.

Mexico travel Don'ts:
  • Don't bring drugs to Mexico. Surely, you don't want to get stuck in mexican jail.
  • Don't drink water from the tap. Only drink bottled water.
  • Don't drive wihout liability insurance.
  • Don't arrive with preconceived notions. Have fun discoverig new places and learning about historical places.
  • Don't wear expensive, extravagant clothes or carry big amounts of money with you.
  • Don’t exchange currency anywhere other than an official currency exchange or a bank.
